4 Parts Guitar

4 Parts Guitar are Raymond Burley, John Etheridge, Gordon Giltrap and Clive Carroll.

Soft Machine guitarist John Etheridge partnered the legendary Stephane Grappelli for many years and tours as a duo with the world's greatest classical guitarist, John Williams.

Best known for his hit singles Heartsong and Fear of the Dark in the late 1970s, Gordon Giltrap has gone on to become one of the UK's premier acoustic guitarists, working with amongst others, Martin Taylor and the London Symphony Orchestra.

Clive Carroll began his career touring with guitar maestro and mentor John Renbourn before teaming up with Australian superstar Tommy Emmanuel, whilst Raymond Burley has performed with many of the UK's most prestigious orchestras and conducts classical masterclasses around the world.

Chapel Arts Centre, formerly known variously as The Central Club, then Window Arts Centre and more recently, Invention Studios, re-opened over four years ago with a lot more than a new name. It is now firmly established as Bath’s alternative arts venue and we present an eclectic array of events as you will see. The well kitted out venue holds 200 people standing, 150 seated theatre style and 105 seated at cabaret style tables. We have a superb, solid and smooth oak wood floor, a state-of-the-art lighting system and truss, and the fantastic natural acoustic of the room (best in Bath!) which is augmented by an excellent sound system with a professional 28:8:2 channel Soundcraft mixing desk with more outboard than you could shake a stick at.

There is now a permanent and well stocked bar with many local and organic drinks and a choice of excellent wines, and the Chapel Arts Cafe area downstairs has been fully refurbished and serves tasty and wholesome vegetarian designer flatbreads, a range of platters, plus excellent & mouth-watering home-made cakes and desserts, many of which are gluten free!

Chapel Arts Centre is in the very heart of Bath city centre, on Lower Borough Walls, just off the Union Street/Stall Street shopping spine (close to the new Southgate Shopping Centre & near where the Roman Bath/Pump Rooms are located). It is less than a 5 minute level walk to Bath Spa Train Station and the new Bath Bus Depot. The nearest car parks are Avon Street Car Park and the new Southgate Car Park. There is limited curb side metered parking on St James Parade and a small number of disabled parking spaces immediately outside the venue but there are plenty of other onstreet parking spaces nearby, which are free after 7pm.

Full details will be added when available.

Please check availability of tickets and confirm date / start times with the organiser before setting out, as sometimes changes are unavoidable - thank you.
